Terms of use — GidiSquare Events

Last updated: 14 September 2026

These Event Terms apply when you use GidiSquare Events. They sit alongside the main Gidisquare Terms and Conditions at https://gidisquare.co.uk/terms-and-conditions (last updated 1 February 2026). If this page and the main Terms clash on ticketing, this page applies to events. Shop and service bookings still follow the main Terms.

Operator

Operator: Gidisquare Limited, 263 Princess Road, Manchester, England, M14 7LZ (“GidiSquare”, “we”, “us”). By buying a ticket or creating an event, you agree to these terms.

1. What GidiSquare Events is

GidiSquare is a platform. Organisers create events and sell tickets. Buyers purchase a ticket to the organiser's event. We do not run the event, own the venue, or guarantee that the event will take place as described. The contract for the event is between the buyer and the organiser.

2. Accounts

You must give accurate details. You must be 18 or over to sell paid tickets. You are responsible for your login.

3. Buyers

When you pay, you buy a ticket from the organiser through our checkout. You must show a valid ticket at the door. A ticket may be refused if it is used, refunded, void, or clearly copied. Check the listing for age limits, entry rules, and the organiser's refund rules.

4. Organisers

Organisers also agree to the Organiser terms. You must only list events you are allowed to run. Date, time, venue, price, and capacity must be true. Paid sales need Stripe payout setup. We may hold first events for review.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying or receiving payouts you also accept Stripe's terms at https://stripe.com/gb/legal

GidiSquare charges buyers a booking fee on paid tickets as shown at checkout and on the Pricing page. Organisers do not pay that platform fee unless they choose to absorb it.

We may hold organiser payouts until after the event, especially on new accounts.

Marketplace shop sales still use the separate marketplace commission in the main Terms. That marketplace commission does not apply to GidiSquare Event ticket face value.

6. Cancellations and refunds

The Refund policy applies.

If an event is cancelled, buyers should receive the ticket face value back from held funds where we still control those funds. Booking fees are kept unless we decide otherwise.

If the organiser has already been paid, we may recover the refund from the organiser.

7. Prohibited events

You must not list events that are unlawful, that you have no right to sell, that collect money for a fake event, or that we reasonably refuse, including scams and events that put people at serious risk. We can remove an event, cancel tickets, freeze payouts, or suspend accounts.

8. Our role and liability

We provide the platform only.

To the fullest extent allowed by UK law, we are not liable for the quality of the event, venue safety, or an organiser who fails to run the event.

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not liable for Stripe or bank delays, or for events outside our reasonable control.

9. Privacy

Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy at https://gidisquare.co.uk/privacy-policy and the Events privacy notice.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
